KVKK Awareness Trainings Conducted at Kocaeli University Hospital

Within the scope of the Personal Data Protection Law Awareness Trainings delivered at Kocaeli University Hospital, the sessions were designed to enhance awareness of personal data protection among faculty members of the medical school, physician lecturers, and healthcare professionals serving across various hospital departments. The program was structured to address the needs of different units and was implemented through multiple sessions.

The trainings addressed, inter alia, the fundamental principles enshrined in Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data, the statutory obligations incumbent upon institutions, and the key considerations to be observed in data security processes, with particular emphasis on the processing of health data.

These initiatives aimed to reinforce employees’ awareness of personal data protection and to contribute to the development of a sustainable culture of institutional compliance and accountability in this field.
