Sinem Sencer Selen, LL.M.

Sinem Sencer Selen, a graduate of Istanbul University Faculty of Law, completed her master’s degree in Economic Law at Istanbul Bilgi University. Specializing in commercial law, contract law, and labor law, Sencer Selen provides legal consultancy and dispute resolution services to companies operating across various sectors. Having served in various positions at Universal Law & Consultancy for more than 12 years, Sencer Selen has continued her work as a partner since 2023. While coordinating advisory and litigation processes, she supervises the work of teams and guides the development of legal opinions and litigation strategies. She also oversees client relationship management and regular reporting processes, ensuring the integrity and continuity of the legal services provided. At the core of her professional approach is understanding her clients’ operations and commercial priorities, identifying legal risks at an early stage, and developing practical solutions. She contributes to the professional development of teams and to client training, sharing her knowledge and experience.

Saliha Uzak

Saliha Uzak, a graduate of Marmara University Faculty of Law, has 25 years of industry and management experience in corporate and mass receivables management, in addition to her experience in commercial and labor law. In her professional work, she considers the management of legal processes together with the characteristics of receivables portfolios and the operational needs of institutions. Serving as Head of the Corporate Collections Unit at Universal Law & Consultancy, Uzak leads the management of a portfolio comprising more than 50,000 receivables. She coordinates all stages, from analyzing receivables and determining collection strategies to carrying out administrative and legal follow-up processes and reporting results. Throughout these processes, she prioritizes the coordinated progress of legal and operational work in line with client institutions’ needs. Uzak plans and supervises the work of the administrative collection, legal collection, intelligence, processing, and courthouse teams reporting to her, and plays an active role in ensuring cooperation and information flow between teams. By regularly evaluating portfolio and team performance, she focuses on improving business processes, the effectiveness of collection activities, and the continuity of service quality. In her management approach, Uzak places particular emphasis on teams’ professional development; she conducts training and supervision on communication and negotiation skills, regulatory compliance, personal data protection, and professional ethics. Huriye Coşan Yalçıneli

Coşan Yalçıneli, a graduate of Istanbul University Faculty of Law, practices in corporate law, commercial law, labor law, competition law, and corporate compliance. She serves as a Senior Associate in the Advisory and Litigation Unit at Universal Law & Consultancy, providing advisory and litigation services across processes ranging from companies’ day-to-day legal needs to dispute resolution. Within her advisory work, Coşan Yalçıneli evaluates companies’ operations and commercial relationships from a legal perspective and provides support in drafting and reviewing contracts, preparing legal opinions, managing employment relationships, and ensuring that internal company practices comply with applicable legislation. She conducts her work in corporate and competition law by taking into account the characteristics of the sectors in which her clients operate and their business processes. In corporate compliance work, she focuses on identifying legal risks, preparing policies and procedures, and translating legislation into day-to-day operations. Working in cooperation with the relevant units of client companies, she contributes to turning legal requirements into workable processes and supports their adoption within the organization through employee training. In litigation and dispute resolution, she takes part in the legal assessment of case files, development of litigation strategies, monitoring and reporting of proceedings. By combining her advisory and litigation experience, she focuses on resolving existing disputes and preventing similar risks in the future.

Buket Altun Erol

Buket Altun Erol, a graduate of Marmara University Faculty of Law, primarily practices in commercial law, insurance law, and personal data protection. She serves as a Senior Associate at Universal Law & Consultancy and takes part in legal advisory and litigation processes as well as companies’ regulatory compliance projects. Within commercial and insurance law, she evaluates clients’ requests for legal opinions, drafts and reviews contracts, and takes part in resolving disputes arising from commercial relationships and insurance practices. While monitoring and reporting litigation processes, she also places importance on reflecting experience gained from disputes in companies’ contracts and business processes. In personal data protection and compliance projects, she participates in reviewing companies’ data processing activities and existing practices, identifying legal requirements, and preparing the necessary documentation. She supports the assessment of privacy notices, internal policies and procedures, and contracts from the perspective of data protection obligations, and works with relevant departments to integrate compliance requirements into day-to-day operations. Altun Erol adopts an approach that takes clients’ activities and operational needs into account in advisory and project work. While focusing on the early identification of legal risks and the development of practical solutions, she also supports strengthening awareness of data protection and regulatory compliance within companies through employee training.

Beyza Armutcu

Beyza Armutcu, a graduate of Yeditepe University Faculty of Law, primarily practices in contract law, commercial law, and labor law. She works in the Advisory and Litigation Unit at Universal Law & Consultancy, contributing to meeting companies’ day-to-day legal needs and resolving disputes. Within her advisory work, Armutcu supports the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts and prepares legal opinions concerning clients’ commercial activities. Taking into account companies’ ways of doing business and sector-specific needs, she contributes to establishing the legal framework for commercial relationships and identifying potential risks. In labor law, she provides legal support throughout the establishment, continuation, and termination of employment relationships and carries out work on the compliance of human resources practices with applicable legislation. In addition to advisory work, she follows litigation and mediation proceedings arising from commercial relationships, contracts, and labor law. She is involved in the legal assessment of files, drafting pleadings, monitoring court proceedings, and reporting developments to clients. Armutcu combines her experience in resolving legal issues with a preventive advisory approach, placing importance on preventing similar disputes. She also participates in training programs for employees of client companies, contributing to the integration of legal knowledge into day-to-day business processes.

Deniz Demir, LL.M.

Demir graduated from MEF University Faculty of Law and holds a master’s degree in Private Law from the same university. Primarily practicing in enforcement law, his professional work also includes commercial law and labor law. At Universal Law & Consultancy’s Corporate Collections Unit, Demir is involved in the legal follow-up and collection processes of client companies’ receivables. He takes an active role particularly in lawsuits and disputes arising from enforcement law, including provisional attachment, negative declaratory actions, actions for annulment of objection, and foreclosure of mortgages. He also works on evaluating receivables files, supervising enforcement proceedings, resolving legal issues arising during the process, and reporting developments to clients. Continuing his professional practice alongside academic work, Demir’s academic study “Enforcement of Interim Injunction Orders under Turkish Law” was published as a book by Adalet Publishing in 2026. He has also authored academic articles in various journals in his fields of practice, addressing legal issues encountered in practice within the framework of doctrinal debates and judicial decisions. Demir places importance on supporting legal assessment in enforcement and collection processes through regular follow-up and effective communication. He also contributes to internal training on legislation, data protection, and professional ethics, sharing knowledge gained from his research and practice with his team.

Elif İlayda Aktaş

Elif İlayda Aktaş, a graduate of Istanbul Medeniyet University Faculty of Law, primarily practices in commercial law, insurance law, and personal data protection. She works in the Advisory and Litigation Unit at Universal Law & Consultancy, taking part in legal advisory services to companies, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance projects. In her commercial and insurance law work, she responds to client companies’ requests for legal opinions and supports the drafting and review of contracts. She follows litigation and mediation processes in disputes arising from commercial relationships and insurance practices, and carries out the evaluation of files, drafting of pleadings, and reporting of developments to clients. In personal data protection, she is involved in reviewing companies’ data processing activities and carrying out compliance processes under Türkiye’s Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK). In this context, she contributes to the preparation and updating of privacy notices, policies and procedures, and relevant contracts, working with different company units to integrate data protection obligations into business processes. Aktaş evaluates legal requirements together with clients’ operations and day-to-day needs in advisory and compliance work. She also participates in employee training, contributing to increased internal awareness of regulatory compliance and personal data protection.

Elif Nur Konyar

Elif Nur Konyar graduated from Istanbul Kültür University Faculty of Law and completed a double major in Economics. Combining her education in law and economics, Konyar practices in corporate law, commercial law, labor law, competition law, and corporate compliance. She works in the Advisory and Litigation Unit at Universal Law & Consultancy, contributing to advisory work addressing client companies’ day-to-day legal needs and to dispute resolution. In this scope, she takes part in preparing legal opinions, drafting and reviewing contracts, and assessing the compliance of company activities with applicable legislation. In labor law, she participates in legal work concerning employment relationships and human resources practices. In corporate compliance projects, she is involved in reviewing existing practices, identifying legal risks, and preparing policies and procedures. In competition law, she supports the assessment of commercial relationships and company practices and contributes to advisory work through research on legislation and judicial decisions. In litigation, she reviews files, drafts pleadings, follows court proceedings, and prepares reports to inform clients. Konyar also takes part in preparing training for employees of client companies and places importance on considering legal requirements together with companies’ commercial and operational needs.

Sedanur Gümüş

Sedanur Gümüş, a graduate of Piri Reis University Faculty of Law, primarily practices in corporate law, commercial law, labor law, competition law, and corporate compliance. She works as an Associate in the Advisory and Litigation Unit at Universal Law & Consultancy. Within her advisory work, she conducts research on client companies’ legal questions and is involved in preparing legal opinions and drafting and reviewing contracts. She contributes to assessing the compliance of companies’ commercial relationships and day-to-day practices with applicable legislation and participates in legal work relating to employment relationships and human resources processes. In corporate compliance projects, she supports reviewing existing practices, identifying legal risks, and preparing policies and procedures. Ezgi Büyüksolak Şahin

Ümit Arslan

Arslan, who graduated from the Faculty of Business Administration at Istanbul University, has over 15 years of experience in the collection and follow-up processes of outstanding receivables in the legal sector. For the past 7 years, Arslan has been managing research, settlement, enforcement, and collection operations related to the receivables arising from the commercial activities of companies for which Universal Law & Consultancy provides consultancy services, as well as the enforcement processes of judgments arising from lawsuits.
